About us

NSBR Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to the conservation, restoration, and sustainable management of coastal and marine ecosystems. Our work focuses on mangroves, seagrass ecosystems, coastal biodiversity, habitat restoration, environmental research, and community-based conservation. We undertake scientific assessments, field-based research, biodiversity and microbial studies, ecological monitoring, and restoration programmes to better understand and protect vulnerable coastal environments. We also promote environmental education, capacity building, women’s empowerment, and sustainable livelihood opportunities to strengthen community participation in conservation. By bringing together scientific knowledge, local communities, and conservation practices, NSBR Foundation aims to restore degraded ecosystems, enhance biodiversity, strengthen climate resilience, and contribute to a sustainable and environmentally responsible future.
